To boost the image of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), A
ir Commodore Edward Gabkwet has assumed office as the new Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI).
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Deputy Director Public Relations & Information, Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Joel Abioye, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA).
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, according to the statement “took over from Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa at a brief ceremony held at Headquarters NAF, Abuja on Monday 3rd of July, 2023.”
Recalled that Air Commodore Gabkwet had served as the DOPRI from 9th March 2021 to 6th January 2023.
Prior to his reappointment, the senior officer was the Commander 551 NAF Station Jos, Plateau State.
