Flushing out criminals, the ongoing clearance operation by 1 Division Nigerian Army has resulted in the neutralization of three bandits in Chikun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.
While the operation has continued to yield positive results, the troops which made contact with bandits and criminal elements in the area, also recovered arms and equipment.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations 1 Division Nigerian Army, Lt Col Musa Yahaya. It was made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA).
It reads “During the well planned and adequately executed operation, troops neutralized 3 bandits and captured one AK 47 rifle, two locally fabricated AK 47 rifles, seven AK 47 magazines and eight motorcycles.
“Others include three locally made magazines, six mobile phones, drugs and charms,” it added.
The statement said the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Force Commander Operation WHIRL PUNCH, Major General Bamidele A. Alabi, has commended the successes recorded by the gallant troops.
He also charged them to continue the “tempo and aggressiveness until all criminal elements are completely eradicated.”
