In line with its corporate social responsibility to communities, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Baba Mohammed Azare, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, visited the Divine Children Home located at Atan Offot, Uyo in the State capital.
Besides its commitment to law enforcement, the Command presented a generous donation of food items to support the well-being of the children residing at the home.
This gesture, according to a statement by DSP Timfon John, Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA), underscored the Police Command’s dedication to fostering positive relationships within the community and extending care to its most vulnerable members.
The statement reads “Upon receiving the donations, the Caretaker of the Divine Children Home, Miss Emenebong Okokon, expressed profound gratitude to the Commissioner of Police and the entire Akwa Ibom State Police Command for their kindness and generosity.
“She offered heartfelt prayers for the continued blessings and protection of God Almighty upon the Commissioner and all officers and personnel of the Command.”
The visit, it noted, exemplified the Akwa Ibom State Police Command’s understanding of its role as not only protectors but also as compassionate members of the community.
“The Command remains committed to initiatives that uplift and support the welfare of all residents, particularly those in need.” the statement stated.
