The Police in Tzaneen have launched a search operation to find a missing 39-year-old businessman, Timothy Mashele, from Dan Village, South Africa.
Security Watch Africa reports that Mashele was allegedly kidnapped by unknown men, who have since called to demand for ransom.
It was alleged that he was last seen on March 24, while he was in Flora Park in the Tzaneen Policing area.
Sergeant Mienkie Ramakgoakgoa, who spoke on the matter said Mashele never went home and he had since disappeared.
“ It is alleged that, his family received phone calls from him alleging that he was kidnapped and that they must deposit an amount of cash. But later the kidnappers demanded another ransom cash of money only which family managed to deposit it in the missing person’s bank account.
“ The partial amount was then withdrawn at Trichardtsdal. Police conducted search operations in and around the surrounding areas without success. The Police sergeant added that investigations still ongoing.
