Paying last respect, Police Ministry has bid farewell to its fallen members of South African Police Service (SAPS) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and Eastern Cape Provinces.
The fallen cops are Sergeant Nkosinathi Ngcobo in KZN Province and Sergeant Pumlani Dastile in Eastern Cape Province.
Four persons were disclosed to have been arrested for murder of the cops.
Delivering the eulogy at the funeral service, as the country marks September as #PoliceSafetyMonth, the Police Minister, General Bheki Cele, announced that “Four people have been arrested for the officers’ murder”.
He was joined at the funeral service by Provincial Commissioner, Lt. Gen. Lucky Mkhwanazi and his provincial team.
“In KZN, SAPS bids farewell to Sgt Nkosinathi Ngcobo from Richards Bay. He was shot and killed while driving in his state vehicle around the Nyanda area in KZN last Friday.
“The officers’ service pistol, wallet and cellphone were stolen.”
