The Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali, has expressed confidence in the collective capabilities of the troops of Operation LAKE SANITY 2 to eradicate terrorism in the region
He made the remark while conducting an operational visit to the frontline troops engaged at Baga, Cross Kauwa, and Malam Fatori in Borno State, Nigeria.
According to a statement by the Chief Military Public Information Officer,
N’djamena – Chad, Lieutenant Colonel, Abubakar Abdullahi, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA), he highlighted the significant reduction in the strength of Boko Haram.
He noted that their reliance on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) underscores their weakened state.
To counter this threat, Gen Ali revealed the introduction of measures designed to outmanoeuvre the adversaries.
He emphasized the importance of staying vigilant and cautious, reaffirming his trust in the commanders and the high expectations he harbours for the success of Operation LAKE SANITY 2.
The statement said the purpose of Gen Ali’s visit was not only to evaluate the progress of the ongoing operation but also to boost the morale of the troops in the frontline.
“He pledged to continue to support the troops with all needed logistics for the operation to succeed.” it stated.
