The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State, Mr. Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa has briefed officers of the zone in a meeting held at the headquarter of the Zone in Ukpo.
The meeting started with an opening prayer at about 8:30hrs and subsequently with a brief introduction of personnel.
At the meeting, he charged officers to sit up to their responsibilities, tracing the source of police underestimation by their proteges and ineffective service delivery to the attitude of a good number of officers.
He stressed that for officers to enjoy respect from the members of the society, they should know that respect is reciprocal, as fairness and due diligence in service go a long way in preserving the integrity and image of security personnel.
AIG Inuwa expressed gratitude to officers of the zone, who he described as ‘diligent’ workers, stressing that the influx of petitions from the public and positive testimonies emanating from the civilian population were clear indications that officers of the zone had been living up to the expectation of delivering the mandate of protecting lives and property of the people.
He advised officers to keep the tempo on and know that discipline in person, character and patriotism were an inexplicable yardstick to achieving policing that works for mankind and the society in general.
He informed them that he had been in service for a period of 30 years, hale and hearty and wishes all personnel same. Continuing, he said that he enrolled in the force in 1990 serving in various capacities.
