A three-year-old boy, abducted in Soko Mjinga village, Nyanchwa in Kisii, Kenya, has been rescued and reunited with his parent.
The child was allegedly playing with other children at his grandmother’s house when he was abducted.
A case of missing person was reported at Nyanchwa Police Station in Kitutu Central, Kisii county.
Security Watch Africa reports that detectives immediately swung into action and profiled a female suspect, with prior history of child trafficking.
It was gathered that three suspects were arrested in connection with the crime.
“ The cold-blooded suspect, 35-year-old Ruth Moraa, is believed to have previously abducted her daughter’s four year old child in February this year. With that information, detectives immediately launched a manhunt for Moraa.
“ After engaging detectives in a five-day cat and mouse game, Moraa was finally cornered and smoked out of her hideout in Keumbu, where she had sought refuge at a relative’s house. Luckily, the frightened minor was also found in her custody.
“ Also arrested is Moraa’s uncle, Elijah Onsongo and Teresia Onsongo, who detectives believe are part of a wider child racketeering syndicate, within the south Nyanza region. The suspects will face Human Trafficking charges, ” a police source stated.
