As part of activities marking the just concluded Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration (AFRDC) 2022, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, has presented a brand new Toyota Hilux vehicle to the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM), Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA), Kachia, Army Warrant Officer (AWO) Ajao Adetona.

Onyema Nwachukwu, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA), disclosed this on Thursday.
Presenting the vehicle on behalf of the COAS, the Commandant Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Major General Robert Sinjen, congratulated AWO Adetona.
He urged him to make good use of the vehicle for the betterment of himself, his family and the NA.
He also charged him to ensure adequate maintenance of the vehicle.
General Sinjen stated further that, “the presentation of the vehicle aims at restoring the reputation associated with the office of an RSM, in line with the customs, ethos and traditions of the NA.
“He added that the gesture will also boost the morale of Master Warrant Officers (MWOs) serving in the NA.”
He thanked the COAS, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya for extending his magnanimity to AWO Ajao who recently retired as the RSM NASA.
In his remarks, AWO Ajao Adetona expressed gratitude to the COAS for “finding him worthy as a recipient and pledged to put the vehicle to proper use.”
