Fast rising rap artiste, Sanni Goriola Wasiu, also known as Lilfrosh, who was accused of assaulting his girlfriend, Okeoghene Taiwo Iyomaterie, has been arrested and arraigned before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court.
Lilfrosh was in September 2020 dragged on social media by his girlfriend for allegedly beating her to a pulp, and causing her grievous body injuries.
Following the accusation, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), terminated his contract on the grounds that the record label frowned at the act.
Security Watch Africa reports that the rapper was invited by the operative of Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID ) Alagbon on February 4, for interrogation.
Telling her side of the story to the court, Iyomatire, disclosed that the rapper was jr lover for less than one year.
She further revealed that Lilfrosh made her his punching bag as every little disagreement resulted in violent attacks.
“He consistently slapped me on face, kicking, pushing me on the other sensitive part. The recent one was in September, 2020 when he attacked me, rained blows on my head and my face.
“I partially lost my sight and had sleepless nights. He repeatedly boasted time and time again that since he is a well known musician he is untouchable”
It was also learnt that the arraignment was facilitated by the International Association Of Women Lawyers(FIDA),Lagos State branch.
The accused who had severally denied the act, pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of assault.
He also had no representation in court, hence the trial magistrate could not grant him bail.
The Magistrate ordered that Lilfrosh be remanded in Ikoyi prisons, while the matter was adjourned to March 9, 2021.
