In order to prevent vacuum, CP Tolani Alausa has been posted to the Bayelsa State Police Command as the new Commissioner of Police.
He took over the new office on Tuesday 18th July, 2023.
This was contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat. It was made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA).
It said “The CP is a seasoned Police officer with vast experience in Operations and Investigation. He has served in various Commands and Formations in various capacities.
“Until his appointment as the Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command, he was the Commissioner of Police, Administration, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
“The Command by this announcement solicits the cooperation and partnership of the good and well-meaning people of Bayelsa State, to accord the new Commissioner of Police the necessary support to discharge his duties of maintaining law and order in the State.
“The Commissioner of Police can be reached on GSM number 08033100926,” it added.
