While speaking during the visit, the Ag IGP said: “ The Police Trust Fund is my first port of call after being decorated as the new acting Inspector-General of Nigeria Police Force. My visit is to let you and members of the Nigeria Police know that the intervention of NPTF is highly needed and expected at this crucial time.
“ The mission of the Trust Fund which is targeted at having a well-trained, well-equipped and highly-motivated Police Force will be supported by my administration with unwavering cooperation. “
A statement by the NPTF spokesperson, Okuwobi Olabisi, (a Chief Superintendent of Police), detailed the visit, saying the Executive Secretary of NPTF, Hon. Aliyu Ahmed Sokoto appreciated the IGP for choosing NPTF as his first duty-call after being decorated by the Vice President at the State House.
