The FCT Police Command has announced a significant breakthrough in its ongoing investigation into the tragic attack on the Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, with the arrest of three suspects.
The attack by the suspects had resulted in the unfortunate death of one of the campers, Johnson John.
But acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased, the Divisional Police Officer, Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang led a team of Police operatives, trailed and arrested the three suspects.
The suspects arrested include; Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village, Karshi.
At the time of arrest, a statement by SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, and made available to Security Watch Africa (SWA), said that three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased.
The suspects, it said, are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale has reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.
