More shocking details have emerged on how 39-year-old Anambra prophetess, Rejoice Raymond, collects blood from children in her custody, package same as the “Blood of Jesus”, and sell to members of her ministry.
Recall that Security Watch Africa (SWA), had reported that Raymond and her 80-year-old mother, Mrs Chidi Felicia Nwafor, were arrested for dehumanising and torturing children in their care.
A reliable police source, who chose to remain anonymous, told SWA that when police operatives from 3-3 Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Bawa Sale Abdul, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), stormed Raymond’s home at No 13, Akunwanta Mbamalu Street, Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Area, Anambra State, the 80-year-old mother of the prime suspect was quick to shot all the room in a bid to obstruct police investigation.
The source said the police however succeeded in gaining access into the rooms where three emaciated children, Jeff Ugochukwu, 5, Trafford Ifechukwu, 6, and Kimberly Gift, 3, were locked up.
He said: “ The police later gained access into the rooms and found a gory sights of badly battered victims, one with a broken arm were found in the pool of their blood and whose parents were neither seen nor known.
“ The children were locked up in separate rooms, and tortured. They have been taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention, while Kegs filled with the said ‘ Blood of Jesus’, were also recovered. ”
Also, a statement issued on the said arrest by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Mohammed, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said the prophetess subjected the children into physical and emotional torture without feeding and inflicted several wounds on their body leaving them unconscious.
Mohammed said: “ On February 19, at about 5:50p.m.,following intelligence report, police operatives attached to 3-3 Police Station Nkwelle Ezunaka, arrested two suspects, Rejoice Raymond, aged 39, and Mrs Chidi Felicia Nwafor, aged 80, of same address at No 13, Akunwanta Mbamalu Street,Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Area, Anambra State.
“ Suspects allegedly confined three children(two boys and a girl) inside different rooms and subjected them into physical and emotional torture without feeding and inflicted several wounds on their body leaving them unconscious.”
He added that other fetish substances such as blood stained canes, concoctions and other incriminating items were all recovered inside the rooms and registered as exhibits.
The PPRO stated that the Commissioner of Police (CP), Monday Bala Kuryas, has ordered for a discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case after which suspects would be brought to justice.
