A Nigerian, AIG Garba Baba Umar was this morning in Istanbul, Turkey elected the Vice President, Interpol for Africa by Members States at the 89th General Assembly of Interpol holding in Turkey.
Nigerian delegation which is led by the country’s Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi include the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa and Head of Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja, AIG Garba Baba Umar.
The newly elected Vice President, AIG Umar will oversee Interpol activities in Africa and sit on the Executive Committee of the world body for Policing for three years.
