The Chief of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), General Solly Shoke has again warned against sexual harassment in the force, urging anyone victimized for same to report to appropriate authority.
Shoke gave the warning in Polokwane, during his farewell tour in Limpopo Province, while addressing officers and men of the force.
He urged perpetrators to stop immediately and seek help and said victims should report sexual harassment without delay, as there is no tolerance for sexual harassment in the SA National Defence Force.
Security Watch Africa (SWA) reports that the Chief of the SA National Defence Force first addressed all the Officers Commanding the Units before addressing the rest of the members on the parade ground.
He also warned the Officers Commanding about having sexual relationships with subordinates and said that the military around the world forbids such.
He further warned members to stay away from criminal behaviours.
The Officers Commanding presented General Shoke with a token of appreciation, while the Acting Officer Commanding, Joint Tactical Headquarters, Limpopo, Lieutenant Colonel Ramukhithi presented the Chief with a golf stick.
