South Africa’s Deputy Police Minister, Cassel Charlie Mathale, on Monday, handed operational vehicles to the Directorate of Priority Crime Investigation unit.
The vehicles were later distributed to the nine provinces in the country after they were handed over to the nine provincial heads during a brief ceremony held at the Hawks headquarters, in Silverton, Pretoria.
At the ceremony, the National Head of the Hawks, Lieutenant General Godfrey Lebeya said, “One of the important tools that enables us to move from point A – B is a motor vehicle. The Government has provided. We are today handing over these recourses to enable officers to perform their duties”.
