Police have taken in a 30-year-old man for questioning following the kidnapping case that was reported, on Thursday, 18 February 2021 at Msobomvu SAPS.
The man, who was allegedly kidnapped, on Thursday afternoon, 18 February, 2021, has been found alive walking alone in the streets of Mtebele Location, Ngqamakhwe, on Saturday, 20 February 2021 at about 16h00.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci said, “Ongoing police investigation led to the 30-year-old man from Mtebele Location taken in for questioning as police believed he could assist them with the investigation. At this stage, he has not been linked to the crime.
The investigation continues.
“The Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga appreciated the information from the community that led to the recovery of a vehicle and that the 33-year-old male was found unharmed.
“He also encouraged the community to continue sharing valuable information with SAPS by contacting SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111.”
